What's the difference between AER and Gross interest?
Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) and gross interest both look at the amount of money you can earn on your savings, but not in exactly the same way.
The gross interest rate does not account for the compounding of interest where as AER does. As such, AER is a more accurate way to estimate the potential return on your savings on an annual period.
